    How the draw works

A full 78-card deck, not just dramatic Major Arcana.

The generator draws from all 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana across Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles. That matters because most everyday questions are often better reflected by the ordinary themes of the Minor Arcana than by a constant stream of large archetypes.

When your browser supports it, Hunch uses its cryptographic random-number source. A card is selected from the deck, and reversal is randomised separately. The result is not based on your personal data or on a hidden “best” answer.

Randomness is useful because it interrupts the framing you arrived with. The interpretation then gives you something specific to test against your real situation.

    How to read one card

    Don't stop at the keyword.

    01

Name the image. Start with the card and orientation before forcing a conclusion.

    02

Read the theme. Ask where the card's pattern already exists.

    03

Check the facts. What supports or contradicts the interpretation?

    04

Choose a response. End with something you can test or do.

Two ways to make a card

Random tarot draw or personalised tarot artwork?

This tarot card generator draws a card from a 78-card deck for interpretation and reflection. An upright card may describe an outwardly expressed theme; a reversed card may invite you to examine where that same theme feels blocked or internal. Neither orientation is automatically good or bad.

For a longer exploration, follow a free three-card spread or browse the meanings of individual cards. If you want to transform your own image into original tarot-style art rather than draw a random card, choose the AI tarot card generator. These are different tools for different goals.

    Frequently asked

    About random tarot cards.

    Is the card truly random?

The page uses the browser's cryptographic random-number source when it is available. There is no personalised selection model choosing a card for you.

What is a reversed tarot card?

A reversed card is drawn upside down. Hunch reads reversals as blocked, delayed, internalised or overused expressions of a card rather than as automatic opposites.

Can I draw more than once?

Yes. For a daily reflection, one draw is usually enough. If you are exploring a larger question, a structured three-card spread often creates more useful context than repeatedly drawing single cards.

Does a random tarot card predict my day?

No. Hunch treats the card as a symbolic prompt that can change what you notice, not as evidence of a fixed future event.
